| today during our visit to LA, wes and i decided to stop by a pet store at brea mall to check out the puppies. Even though both of our current living situations do no permit pets, wes and i still manage to torture ourselves by going to a pet store or animal shelter every chance we get. today's visit, however, was unusual in that we actually asked to see/play with a particular dog. it was a shiba inu...the kind of dog that i've been thinking about getting for a while now. we played with her for about 5 minutes...we found out that shiba inus are in-doors dog; they're really clean, industrious, and independent. they can be left for hours at a time and still be okay. they also grow to be only 25-30 lbs. PERFECT!!! both wes and i want an indoor dog that is clean and not too clingy (like most doggies get).
the puppy we played with was so sweet...she was playful yet calm...her ears stood straight up and her tail had a nice little curl. when the sales clerk came back, he informed us that she was $1200!!--double the price you would pay if you bought the dog online. needless to say, wes and i left the mall without a doggie...we both pouted our way through the rest of the day, but we did both agree that if we WERE going to get a dog...it would be a shiba inu...and we would name her Katsu....or Scout :)
 aren't they cute?!?! like a little bear...raawr!
my birthday is coming up...if you get me a shiba inu puppy...i'll be your best friend :) |
